| 英文描述 | Usually asymptomatic, but severe psoroptic mange of the ears was described. Head shaking may occur. Dx by identification of parasites on otoscopic exam or smears. May lose hair at the base of the ear from scratching. Lesions have been reported to spread to the rest of the body and legs. The mite RAILLIETIA MANFREDI has been demonstrated in the ears of Australian goats. PSOROPTES OVIS is the common ear mite of goats and sheep. OTODECTES CYNOTIS can infest the ears of goats. |
